Bilingual Re-entry Specialist dedicated to empowering recovery success.
What I'm looking for
I am a passionate Bilingual Re-entry Specialist with lived experience of recovery from substance use disorder. My dedication lies in supporting individuals through coping skills that strengthen their recovery journey, particularly for those involved in the justice system. I specialize in reducing recidivism and promoting reunification through evidence-based interventions.
Currently, I work at New Freedom in Phoenix, where I lead a team of over 30 members towards achieving their transitional goals. My role involves assessing needs, creating transition plans, and coordinating care to ensure successful outcomes. I believe in empowering individuals to develop meaningful roles outside of recovery, focusing on employment, community engagement, and building positive social networks.
With a background as a Peer Support Specialist at RI International, I have honed my skills in documenting client progress, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and connecting clients with vital community resources. My educational journey at Grand Canyon University, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health Science, complements my practical experience, equipping me with the knowledge to make a positive impact in the lives of those I serve.
