I’ve spent 9+ years in IT, and right now I’m a Storage Engineer at London Stock Exchange Group in Bangalore, managing and provisioning storage in line with customer standards.
I work across multiple storage platforms (Hitachi, NetApp, Dell/Isilon, Pure, and Elastic cloud storage), handling allocation/de-allocation, utilization reporting, performance monitoring, and capacity planning to keep environments optimally configured.
My day-to-day includes storage administration for UNIX and Windows servers, supporting a large VMware environment, coordinating vendor configuration and optimization, and working with a managed service provider to ensure SLA delivery.
I’ve also implemented storage virtualization and manage NAS replication (NetApp SnapMirror/SnapVault), while documenting configurations and driving user-impacting high-availability incidents through resolution with clear status updates.
