Client-side Architect and Project Engineer delivering complex, multi-disciplinary builds through design coordination.
What I'm looking for
I’m an ARB registered Part 3 Architect with over 20 years’ professional experience delivering complex architectural, interior design and multidisciplinary construction projects. I’ve worked across all RIBA work stages, with particular strength in design coordination, technical delivery, construction support and client-side project engineering to protect the design intent through to the finished build.
In my current role with Transport for London, I act as a client-side Project Engineer on a multidisciplinary refurbishment programme delivering upgrades to customer toilet facilities across the London Underground network. I coordinate architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire, civils, accessibility and specialist disciplines, review contractor submissions/RFIs/design changes for compliance, and provide design assurance through engineering reviews and site inspections in live operational stations.
With Johnson Naylor, I support major residential delivery projects including Kings Cross Capella, Bow Green, Stratford IQL, Canada Water, and White City Living. I’ve led package work (e.g., Stage 2/3), supported Stage 4/5 delivery for key suites, managed QA design guidance and snagging, and handled client liaison, spatial planning, material specification and coordinated consultant input to keep programmes and quality on track.
Earlier site-based experience includes serving as area lead architect and site liaison lead on Crossrail Whitechapel Station at Morgan Sindall Professional Services, where I managed liaison with contractors and consultants, supported RFI responses at RIBA F1/F2, and coordinated production of as-built drawing deliverables. My career also includes senior architecture roles across UK and international design competition work, supported by strong CAD/software capability and a construction-focused approach to quality, buildability and risk resolution.
