At Cognitive Behavioral Institute, I use cognitive behavioral therapy and other proven treatment modalities to support clients with PTSD, depressive disorders, anxiety, bereavement, sports performance, and weight control. I provide weekly counseling with goal-oriented tasks and motivational interviewing, and work closely with a psychiatrist on therapy and medication management.
At Geneva College, I teach courses including Diagnosis and Psychopathology, Counseling Theories, and Crisis and Trauma. Earlier, as a Clinical Social Worker at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, I supported patients through assessments, counseling, referrals, and discharge planning, and helped orient and mentor incoming social workers.
