Tochi Obi
@tochiobi
Proactive cybersecurity analyst focused on defensive security, CTI, and incident response.
What I'm looking for
I’m a proactive, detail-oriented cybersecurity professional specializing in defensive strategies (Blue Teaming). With a B. Tech in Cybersecurity, I’ve built a strong foundation across network security, threat intelligence, incident response, and digital forensics.
In my SOC Analyst Intern role at Cyblack, I analyzed and responded to cyber-attacks by studying attack phases and threat actors. I used cyber threat intelligence to analyze malware, implemented mitigations, assessed system and web application vulnerabilities, and supported investigation work by validating IPs and detecting spoofing from email headers.
As a SOC Training Facilitator with Girls in Security Operations (GISOC), I developed training outlines and hands-on project playbooks for vulnerability management, CVSS scoring, and threat intelligence research. I guided learners through configuring vulnerable Nginx and OpenSSH environments, running Nessus vulnerability scans, analyzing CVEs/CVSS metrics, and mapping vulnerabilities to threat actors, malware families, IOCs, and MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
I also contributed as Programs Manager at DoH Africa, collaborating to plan and organize initiatives that support community growth and professional development in cybersecurity. Through projects like cyber threat intelligence analysis, SOC & vulnerability analysis (with Kali Linux and Nessus), and malware & email analysis (headers, static/dynamic analysis), I aim to keep security practical, measurable, and action-oriented.
