Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET (Python), fully remote. I design and own test frameworks end to end — pytest, Playwright, API/contract tests (httpx, Pydantic), Allure, CI/CD in Docker. Strong on the infra underneath (containers, networking, Grafana, Locust), so I can trace a failure from the UI down to the host. Most interested in fintech, infrastructure and dev-tools teams.

What I'm looking for
I'm a Senior SDET / QA Automation Engineer with 8+ years in IT and ~3.5 years focused on test automation, backed by ~5 years of infrastructure work in datacenters, server hardware, and networking. I build "classic" automation with pytest, Selenium, Playwright, Locust, and Allure. When the system needs it, I push that into infrastructure-aware, hardware-validating testing.
At OpenYard, I was the founding SDET and the first automation engineer on a previously manual QA team that grew to five engineers. I cut full server acceptance testing across three production stages from 2–3 days to ~6 hours, and moved acceptance from sampling to 100% coverage, dropping the defect rate from ~4% to ~0.5%. I also created the onboarding Confluence guide that helped ramp the three SDETs hired after me.
My approach is both design-driven and risk-driven. I introduced a GPU load pre-condition fixture (forcing the correct BMC fan profile via IPMI/BMC before the load phase) after a hardware failure caused another GPU card to burn out; the fix prevented hardware loss of ~$100k and became a permanent quality gate. I also designed and led TSLS, a bridge between Orion (test orchestration + production traceability) and the test framework, including REST API contracts, auto-discovery of stands, and real-time WebSocket status streaming.
Beyond functional automation, I focus on reliable execution at scale: I rebuilt iperf3 to meet strict spec requirements, created self-distributed test runners to remove centralized orchestration bottlenecks, and built CI/CD and observability workflows with GitLab CI, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Promtail, and cAdvisor. Earlier, at Sulpak, I delivered API/UI/E2E test coverage with pytest, Requests, Pydantic, Selenium Grid, RabbitMQ + testcontainers, and Locust. I also mentored junior QAs with review checklists and an internal test style guide.

Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Senior SDET Infrastructure
OpenYard
Mar 2025 - Mar 2026 (1 year)
Founded a new automation function and built a single pytest-based pipeline that cut full server acceptance testing across 3 production stages from 2–3 days to ~6 hours, while reducing defect rate from ~4% to ~0.5%. Designed TSLS integration between Orion and the test framework and prevented ~$100k in hardware loss by adding GPU pre-conditions using IPMI/BMC fan profiles.
Senior QA Automation Engineer
Sulpak
Apr 2023 - Jan 2025 (1 year 9 months)
Built API automation on pytest with Requests/Pydantic and delivered a ~250-test regression suite (contract validation, filtering, and calculation checks) running in parallel. Developed UI automation with Selenium 4 (Page Object Model) and E2E coverage using RabbitMQ + testcontainers, plus Locust load tests and CI pipelines with Allure reporting.
QA Automation Engineer
Sulpak
Oct 2022 - Mar 2023 (5 months)
Developed the initial automated testing foundation for product-card and search services using pytest for API regression and Selenium 4 for UI flows. Implemented E2E event verification with RabbitMQ + testcontainers, including DB checks and email notification validation via Gmail API, and automated runs through GitLab CI.
Network Engineer (NOC)
Moscow Exchange (MOEX)
Mar 2022 - Oct 2022 (7 months)
Provided technical support for the exchange’s trading network and colocation by configuring routers and L2/L3 switching and troubleshooting production connectivity. Worked with HSRP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, ACL, LACP, NAT, DHCP, PTP, and GRE, using iperf testing and MySQL queries during investigations.
Server Hardware Engineer
LANIT
Sep 2020 - Mar 2022 (1 year 6 months)
Performed firmware updates, diagnostics, and module-level repairs for Dell/Lenovo/IBM servers, managing devices remotely via iDRAC and IMM. Achieved 152 vendor certifications during the role and supported datacenter hardware reliability through hands-on service work.
Server & Network Engineer
REG.RU
Sep 2018 - Sep 2020 (2 years)
Configured servers and datacenter rack setups and implemented storage/network settings including RAID, VLAN, EtherChannel, and Port Security. Supported monitoring and inventory using Zabbix and Naumen, and built an internal Python tool (bot + web panel) for KVM-per-rack datacenter inventory management.
Datacenter Engineer (L1)
DataLine
Sep 2017 - May 2018 (8 months)
Supported L1 datacenter operations including Nagios monitoring and installation of servers and structured cabling. Assisted with early IT career activities focused on reliable monitoring and physical infrastructure setup.
