Tayyaba Iqbal
@tayyabaiqbal1
Final-year MBBS student and HIPAA-certified medical documentation assistant transitioning to a virtual medical assistant role.
What I'm looking for
I’m a final-year MBBS student with hands-on clinical exposure across Surgery, Medicine, OB/GYN, and Paediatrics, strengthening both my patient communication and my clinical documentation habits. I combine that medical foundation with leadership experience managing multi-department teams and day-to-day operations. I’m also HIPAA certified, with a strong command of medical terminology and compliant data handling.
In my current leadership role as General Secretary for Character Building Society (CBS), I lead and coordinate a multi-department team running recurring programs and monthly guest lectures. I manage attendance registers, scheduling, and documentation for recurring sessions—work that directly translates to patient scheduling and records workflows. I also prepare and deliver structured presentations in English/Urdu and coordinate logistics across departments, vendors, and guest speakers.
My clinical rotations have built practical familiarity with patient history-taking, structured clinical reasoning, and differential diagnosis under supervision. I’ve worked on charting and terminology, and I’m comfortable supporting a care team with clear, organized communication in a hospital setting.
I’m now transitioning fully into a Virtual Medical Assistant role. I bring reliability, fast adoption of EMR/practice-management software, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate smoothly across teams. I want to support a remote healthcare team by handling intake, scheduling, records management, and reporting with accuracy and professionalism.
