Tanize Acunha
@tanizeacunha
Experienced metabolomics and lipidomics scientist specializing in mass spectrometry-based analyses.
What I'm looking for
I am a mass-spectrometry-focused metabolomics and lipidomics researcher with a Ph.D. in Biology and Food Science (UAM–CSIC) and extensive postdoctoral experience across Europe and Brazil. I develop and apply untargeted and targeted LC–HRMS, UHPLC-Q/TOF, LC-QQQ, GC–MS and CE–MS methods, lead sample-preparation and data-processing workflows, and have driven projects on bioactive compounds, food chemistry and disease-related lipidomics.
My work includes peer-reviewed publications, invited talks, supervision of graduate students and participation in multidisciplinary projects funded by agencies such as FAPESP, CNPq and the Swedish Research Council. I combine method development, multivariate statistical analysis and careful interpretation to produce reproducible, high-impact results that support food science, pharmacology and biomedical research.
