Tamar Gurtsishvili

I’m a Senior Frontend Engineer and Frontend Architect with 12+ years of experience building, modernizing, and scaling web applications. My experience covers large-scale enterprise applications, fintech products, SaaS, e-commerce, healthcare, and other complex business domains.

My strongest area is frontend architecture. I have hands-on experience designing scalable applications with React, Vue, and Angular, as well as micro-frontend architectures, Nx monorepos, design systems, component libraries, and modular state management. I’m particularly interested in solving complex technical problems, improving existing applications, and turning complicated or legacy systems into simpler, more flexible, and maintainable solutions.

In my most recent role, I led the modernization of a legacy ecosystem built with Angular, jQuery, and Vue into a high-performance React architecture. I worked with an Nx monorepo containing 9+ integrated projects, built a themeable design system and component library, and helped simplify complex business logic. I also worked with Python/Django, adapting an existing backend into a Backend-for-Frontend layer and using AI-assisted tools to reverse-engineer legacy functionality and generate documentation and OpenAPI specifications.

I enjoy taking ownership of technical decisions and working across the full application lifecycle. While my primary expertise is frontend, I have experience with backend integration, APIs, Python/Django, testing, CI/CD, and overall application architecture.

I’m interested in remote roles with product companies and startups where I can work on challenging technical problems, improve existing products, contribute to architecture and technical decisions, and help teams grow through collaboration, leadership, and mentoring. I’m also open to exploring new industries and technologies where I can apply my experience to interesting products.
