What I'm looking for

I’m seeking a finance internship where I can strengthen financial reporting and records management while supporting compliance, reconciliation, and documentation. I bring a reliable work ethic and analytical mindset to improve efficiency for a professional finance team.

I’m a recent Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) graduate with a disciplined background in financial operations, data validation, and administrative support within high-compliance environments. I’m intentionally pursuing internship opportunities to refine my career specialization while delivering tangible improvements to departmental efficiency.

In my Finance Student Attachment Program at Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), I supported revenue and banking workflows by recording incoming cheques and verifying banking details to ensure accurate receipting and alignment with treasury. I also restructured raw bank statements in Excel to provide clearer financial data for internal stakeholders and departmental managers.

My work has been strongly grounded in compliance and audit readiness. I validated refund claims against internal policy, maintained master tracking reports used by supervisors, and supported procurement by preparing preliminary expense budgets and batching authorized purchase orders into the system.

Before that, as a Polling Clerk with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), I performed high-volume data entry and voter verification under strict legal and audit requirements. I consistently maintained 100% data consistency in time-sensitive, high-stakes conditions, collaborating with lead officers to resolve mismatches and protect the integrity of the polling station register.
