I’m a Software Engineer who enjoys turning messy, legacy workflows into reliable, modern data and application systems. I focus on translating existing logic into scalable solutions and then making the results usable through analytics and automation.

At the California State Controller’s Office, I modernized legacy batch processing by translating COBOL/JCL logic into SQL Server–based solutions, reducing reliance on mainframe jobs. I also optimized SQL queries and stored procedures and built Power BI dashboards that reduced manual reporting and sped up decision-making.

Previously at Welcome Financial, I delivered customer-facing websites with accessibility best practices (WCAG/ADA) and improved performance metrics like time-to-interact and page load times. I’ve also strengthened data accuracy through ETL workflows using SQL/JSON and enabled real-time operations by integrating SCADA dashboards for KPI monitoring and anomaly detection.

My full-stack and infrastructure background ranges from building React/Node/MongoDB applications and PCI-compliant checkout flows to supporting secure connectivity and administration work as an intern (OpenVPN, pfSense, SFTP, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365). I also build ML-powered web projects like hand detection with ml5.js and calorie prediction with Python, XGBoost, and Flask.
