I'm a Professor of English Language and Literacy Education and Director of External Programmes at the Federal University of Education, Pankshin. Since 1995, I've taught General Studies Education while helping strengthen teaching, learning, research, and institutional development.
I've served as Dean of the School of Education, Chairman of the Teaching Practice Committee, Head of Department, Pre-NCE Coordinator, and a member of the Academic Board and quality assurance committees. I also introduced electronic processing and online checking of results at FCE Pankshin.
My research and publications focus on literacy, reading development, English curriculum, teacher education, handwriting, phonemic awareness, and educational policy. I've authored and co-authored journal articles, books, and book chapters, including work supported by a 2022 TETFund research grant.
I've edited education journals, presented widely at national and international conferences, and facilitated teacher-development workshops. I bring a practical commitment to interactive learning environments, effective English teaching, and stronger literacy outcomes for learners and teachers.
