Sirshendu Banerjee

I am a motivated and innovative chemical engineer currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at NIT Durgapur. With a strong focus on sustainability and process optimization, I have developed a keen interest in solving complex research problems, particularly in the area of CO2 capture. My doctoral research has equipped me with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in advanced modeling techniques, including the use of Aspen Plus simulation software.

Throughout my academic journey, I have led the development of an innovative amine-based solvent for CO2 capture, addressing critical environmental concerns. My research has resulted in several publications and presentations at international conferences, showcasing my ability to apply advanced modeling techniques to analyze and interpret experimental data. I am proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, and VBA, which I have utilized to optimize solvent performance through complex nonlinear regression models.

As I approach the completion of my Ph.D., I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge in a professional setting where I can contribute to sustainable engineering solutions. I am particularly interested in opportunities that allow me to leverage my research experience and technical skills to make a meaningful impact in the field of chemical engineering.
