Simona Diana Rau

I’m an architectural and technical professional with experience across design, technical development, commercial coordination, and project delivery. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on residential, commercial, retail, workplace, exhibition, and bespoke projects, collaborating with clients, suppliers, contractors, sales teams, and internal departments.

In my current role at Grupo Forma 5, I work within the Technical-Commercial and Special Projects team, coordinating complex projects from initial requirements and technical feasibility through to quotations, supplier coordination, cost studies, and delivery. I also support international markets, helping coordinate workloads, improve processes, and ensure projects progress efficiently and accurately.

Previously, I worked in architectural practices and design studios, gaining experience across BIM, residential, commercial, and large-scale projects. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of both creative and technical processes, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

I’m particularly interested in developing my career further in project management, project coordination, operations, and roles where I can combine organisation, problem-solving, communication, and commercial awareness. I enjoy bringing different people and areas together, structuring processes, finding practical solutions, and taking projects from an initial idea or requirement through to successful delivery.

Outside my professional work, I’m interested in design, architecture, heritage, sustainability, and how spaces can influence people’s experiences. I have also developed leadership and organisational skills through my experience leading the Oxford Architecture Society, where I managed a team of 22 people, finances, and professional events in collaboration with RIBA.
