I lead the Bonds and Money Market team at Absa Investor Services in CIB Transactional Banking, overseeing end-to-end trade support and settlement, client liaison, management reporting, migrations and client onboarding.
At Absa, I've also overseen and validated equities custody settlements and clearing, monitored STP and SWIFT processes, and coordinated with clients, Risk and Compliance, regulators, counterparties and stock exchanges to resolve trade issues.
My work spans funding and payment processing to SAMOS, manual payment verification, physical certificate activity, BEE share settlements, audit requests, reporting, UAT and migration testing. I also train new staff, support performance conversations and help draft procedures and improve processes.
Before Absa, I held portfolio operations and billing roles at Societe Generale, finance roles at UTi Financial Shared Services, and accounts and JSE settlements responsibilities at CKS Equities. My background includes reconciliations, invoicing, general ledger work, accounts payable, cashbooks, payments and financial reporting.
