What I'm looking for

I’m ready to move into whole-school leadership, guiding teaching and learning, developing staff, caring for every learner, and building trust with families and the wider community in the spirit of service, ethics and pluralism.

At Kibokoni Secondary School, I led the Guidance and Counselling department, coordinating learner support, mentoring and welfare services with a team of five for 900 students. I also worked with teachers, parents and guardians on learner discipline, wellbeing and progress through the “Students Families” programme.

Before that, I led Languages departments at Kibokoni Secondary School and Marereni Secondary School, coordinating teaching, schemes of work and assessment while teaching English and Literature. I’ve also supported learner voice by organising debates and poetry recitation contests, and took part in scripting and training a school drama team.

I’m currently a Master of Education candidate at Aga Khan University in Tanzania, studying competency-based education, research methodology, citizenship education and pluralism. My research proposal examines the effect of English homework load on learning outcomes among Grade 10 learners in Kaloleni Sub County, Kenya.
