At the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Taraba State, I carry out livestock research and analysis to support evidence-based policy and programme decisions. I also support the daily technical and administrative running of the Ministry's livestock desk.
For Ikore International Development Limited, I conducted a dairy landscape analysis in Taraba State, profiling production zones, value-chain actors, and systemic bottlenecks. I assessed market-led development opportunities, including improving milk quality, cold-chain logistics, and smallholder market access.
I collected primary data through field surveys, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions with pastoral communities, dairy traders, and agro-processors. I also provided technical inputs into recommendations for donor-funded livestock and dairy programming.
My research includes peer-reviewed publications on animal nutrition and production, including studies of milk composition and hydroponic maize fodder for weaner rabbits. I use SPSS for quantitative analysis and Microsoft Excel for data entry, validation, and pivot-table analysis.
