Shadi Jaber

I'm working in the PCR and NGS Department at Jordan's Central Public Health Laboratories, where I perform molecular diagnostics and analyze bacterial, viral, and human sequencing data.

I contribute to whole-genome and whole-exome sequencing workflows, from sequence quality control and read processing through alignment, genome assembly, annotation, and downstream genomic characterization. My work uses Linux command-line environments and tools including FastQC, fastp, BWA, Bowtie2, SAMtools, SPAdes, Prokka, Terra.bio, and Ion Reporter.

Before joining public health laboratory work, I taught clinical chemistry, physiology, microbiology, and biology-related courses at Zarqa University, alongside laboratory instruction and student support.

I hold an MSc in Laboratory Medical Science and bring additional experience in clinical laboratory testing, microbiology, scientific training, and molecular diagnostics. I'm open to international remote opportunities in bioinformatics and genomics.
