A remote UI/UX or product design role where design systems and front-end craft both matter. I own component libraries end to end - Figma tokens mapped to coded components - and I write the production front end myself (React, React Native, HTML, Sass). Accessibility is craft, not a checklist. Open to full-time, part-time or contract; I adjust my hours for remote work.

Technical Lead UI/UX Designer & front-end developer, 12+ yrs. Design systems, accessibility, and I ship the React/Sass myself. Riyadh, fully remote.
What I'm looking for
My own independent product work is public. I have designed and shipped 32 Android apps end to end - design and code both - on Google Play under “greybits”: ten casual games alongside accessibility apps such as Cove (autism calm and AAC), Sprout (ADHD routines) and Bibo (kids speech play, deliberately ad-free and score-free). play.google.com/store/apps/dev?id=8067309061059365942
I am a Technical Lead UI/UX Designer and front-end developer with 12+ years of experience, based in Riyadh (GMT+3) and fully remote for the last ten. For nine of those years I have led a UI/UX team across healthcare products, including an electronic health record system and a telehealth platform whose foundational UI I built from zero and then designed for over four years.
What makes my profile unusual is that I design in Figma AND write the production front end - React, React Native, HTML and Sass. Design intent survives implementation because the same person owns both ends: feasibility gets settled inside the conversation rather than after it, and I run design QA against the real build instead of filing a ticket about it.
Design systems are my specialism. I own a shared component library built on Angular Material and MUI, paired with a published Figma team library - components, variants, auto layout, styles and variables - mapped to the coded components and consumed across products on Angular, React and React Native. One governance rule holds it together: the shared library stays untouched and products vary by theme, never by forking, so a fix made once is inherited everywhere.
Accessibility is the part of the craft I care most about. I owned the visual layer of ADA compliance on one product - setting contrast and type scale in the theme rather than auditing screen by screen - and then went past WCAG to ship three user-selectable themes for deuteranomaly, protanomaly and tritanomaly, verified with QA and with real users.
I solve at the system level rather than the instance level: fix the component so every product inherits it, set contrast in the theme so every screen inherits it, compute the pacing so every question inherits it.
AI tools are part of my daily workflow: Figma AI, Claude and Claude Code, ChatGPT and Google Flow.
One note on portfolio: my product work is for healthcare organisations under NDA - my employer is ISO 27001 certified and the products are VPN-gated - so I cannot publish screens. I have a written case-study document covering four real problems as problem, reasoning, decision and outcome, and I am glad to walk through the actual interfaces in a private screen-share at any stage.
I am open to full-time, part-time and contract work, and I adjust my hours freely for remote roles.
