At Summit Medical, I received and processed laboratory specimens, entered ordering physician data, and verified that demographics, tests, and codes matched requisitions and system records.

I maintained specimen integrity through aseptic techniques and isolation procedures while labeling vials, documenting data, preparing specimens for reference laboratories, and prioritizing time-sensitive surgical samples. I also handled patient relations through inbound and outbound calls and emails.

I'm building on this healthcare experience through an Associate of Science in Medical Billing and Coding at Ultimate Medical Academy, with training in claims processing, insurance verification, accounts receivable, collections, reimbursement, and HIPAA privacy requirements.
