Rohit Gupta

I’m an AI/ML Engineer focused on building practical AI systems that move beyond demos and solve real-world problems. My work spans LLMs, RAG, AI agents, NLP, computer vision, and data-driven applications, with a strong interest in turning complex workflows into reliable, usable products.

I’ve worked across both industry and research. At Viasat India, I worked on data and analytics pipelines involving multiple data sources, feature engineering, customer segmentation, prioritization, and decision-focused dashboards. At IIT Gandhinagar, I worked on machine learning for particle-physics research, experimenting with neural networks and XGBoost for large-scale scientific datasets. I’ve also contributed to research published through IEEE.

On the engineering side, I build with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, pgvector, LangChain, LangGraph, LLM APIs, vector search, and Docker. I enjoy designing RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, tool-using systems, and APIs with an emphasis on reliability, evaluation, and practical deployment rather than simply making an LLM generate an answer.

What I bring is a combination of AI knowledge, software engineering, data experience, and a willingness to work through ambiguous problems end-to-end—from understanding the problem and experimenting with an approach to building, debugging, and improving the final system.

I’m particularly interested in AI-native products, GenAI/LLM engineering, agentic systems, and applied AI where I can work closely with a team, take ownership, and turn ideas into production-quality solutions.
