Full-stack engineer with 14+ years in web and mobile. PHP, Rails, Vue/Nuxt, Node.js, Android, iOS. Tokyo-based, open to remote roles worldwide.
JapanWhat I'm looking for
I'm a backend and full-stack software engineer based in Tokyo with 14+ years of experience building web and mobile products. I started in embedded and C/C++ development, moved into Java and Node.js backends, and for the last six years worked mainly in PHP, Ruby on Rails, and Vue.js/Nuxt.js on large consumer-facing web platforms, including official fan sites and e-commerce integrations for Korean artists.
I worked on a small team across the full project lifecycle, from requirements and design to testing and release, and delivered every project on schedule. In 2026 I also did freelance work for a US-based security-solutions company, developing Android and iOS apps and maintaining a WordPress site.
I've worked in Japanese-language teams for over 10 years, so I'm comfortable with detailed written communication and asynchronous work. I'm now looking for a remote role with an international team. I hold a BS in Computer Science, the Oracle Certified Java Programmer (Silver SE 8) certification, and JLPT N3.
I enjoy improving and maintaining existing systems, picking up new stacks quickly, and using AI coding tools to work faster.
