Rashmi Gaonkar

I’m a third-year Computer Engineering student at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, with practical experience across full-stack web development, machine learning, and natural language processing. I like turning complex requirements into working products that others can actually use.

In my projects, I built a full-stack interview preparation platform using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS, including JWT-based authentication and bcryptjs password hashing. I also added a PDF export feature so users can download and share customized preparation reports.

I’ve also worked on AI/NLP systems end-to-end. My NLP-based resume analyzer reads resumes, scores them against a given job description, and uses Tokenization, Cosine Similarity, Named Entity Recognition, and Keyword Extraction to support objective shortlisting. For practical ML impact, I trained a Random Forest restock prediction model on historical data and deployed it through an interactive Streamlit dashboard for non-technical users.

I enjoy collaborative environments—whether that’s building and deploying real-world college fest/hostel websites or contributing secure, production-ready features. Through hackathons like Code Odyssey and Agamya Tech Summit, I’ve learned to move fast, prototype effectively, and deliver under time constraints while continuing to grow.
