At British Council, I manage financial planning, budgeting, and reforecasting for a £7.5M budget across five Exams product lines in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. I achieved approximately 90% forecast accuracy through reforecasting cycles, scenario modelling, and challenging assumptions with budget holders.
I deliver management reports with variance analysis and KPI dashboards for the Country Exams Director and Regional FP&A teams. I also resolved SAP cost allocation and data quality issues, and developed standardized reporting templates and Excel-based analytical tools.
At Imperial Institute of Higher Education (Pvt) Ltd, I led finance operations as Manager – Finance & Academic Affairs, including reporting, budgeting, cost modelling, and cash flow management. I designed internal controls and financial policies, and developed cost models for new academic programs to support board decisions.
Earlier, as Accountant and Assistant Accountant, I prepared financial statements and handled reconciliations, fee collections, tax compliance, and audit support. I hold an MBA (General) with Merit from University of Wales Trinity Saint David and completed CAB II level with CA Sri Lanka (ICASL).
