Rama Murali
@ramamurali
I build equitable public health systems, workforce programs, and learning strategies.
What I'm looking for
I've led public health learning, workforce development, and systems-change work across philanthropy, government, health systems, and community organizations for two decades.
Through Murali Strategic Learning & Impact Consulting, I support organizations including Pivotal Ventures, Threads of Us, the University of Washington, Sanitation First, and The Cycle UK. My work spans learning agendas, global health leadership curriculum reaching 10,000+ learners, community wellness strategy, CEO coaching, and Theory of Change redesign.
At CAI, I directed workforce development and helped launch a Community Health Worker training program that graduated more than 60 CHWs and launched eight apprenticeships in its first year. I also led the national TAP-in team supporting 47 health departments to advance Ending the HIV Epidemic through data-driven practice transformation, racial equity, and trauma-informed approaches.
I've built learning cultures at the Ford Foundation, managed a $6 million serious-illness communication initiative, and developed workforce training across Partners In Health programs in multiple countries. I also founded CARE in Chennai, India, a grassroots caregiver organization that reached more than 200 caregivers and families.
