I worked at Cognizant Technology Solutions as a Security Operations associate, monitoring and investigating security alerts, logs, and suspicious activity for enterprise SOC work across Windows and Linux. I used Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel to support day-to-day investigations and operations.

I tightened my alert triage and log correlation by validating threats and optimizing SIEM queries, which helped reduce false positives and speed up cybersecurity investigations. When incidents hit, I coordinated with infrastructure, application, and support teams to investigate, contain, and remediate while keeping SLA commitments.

I also ran vulnerability assessments and reviewed access control activities, analyzing security risks and supporting remediation of security issues. For better visibility, I generated security dashboards, incident reports, trend analysis, and audit-ready documentation like runbooks and disaster recovery procedures.

Right now, I’m building depth in incident response and SOC operations through my Master of Engineering in Information Systems Security at Concordia University, with coursework spanning NIST and ISO frameworks, identity and access management, and security risk management.
