What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an entry-level role where I can apply quantitative microbiology to antimicrobial and biofilm-focused testing, with strong attention to safety, data analysis, and clear scientific reporting.

I’m a motivated MSc Applied Microbiology graduate seeking an entry-level professional role, with hands-on experience in microbiological testing and rigorous scientific communication. In my research project at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) – CBQF, I evaluated the antimicrobial, anti-biofilm, antioxidant analysis, safety evaluation, and scientific efficacy of functionalized textiles using Eucalyptus and Hops.

My key results included demonstrating complete biofilm elimination by eucalyptus against Gram-positive bacteria on new fabric, while also identifying significant cytotoxicity in the eucalyptus treatment (rendering the product unsafe for skin contact). I validated the high dermatological safety of the hops treatment and balanced efficacy, durability, and safety to assess both extracts’ suitability for textile applications.
