What I'm looking for

I seek an IT role where I can apply and expand my software development and cybersecurity skills, collaborate in a supportive team, and take on responsibilities that enable professional growth.

I am a Computer Information Systems graduate from Kenya Methodist University with hands-on experience in software development, basic cybersecurity, and IT support. I bring practical programming experience in Java, JavaScript, Python, Kotlin, and web technologies.

I have completed certifications including Essentials of C++ Programming, Introduction to Cybersecurity, and Get Connected, and I developed a functional Java project while coaching junior teammates. I am comfortable working independently and collaboratively and have experience presenting technical proposals.

I have practical experience in web and backend development using HTML/CSS, Node.js, React, Django (Python), and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and SQLite; I also have experience with Oracle and 3D work in Blender.

I am launching my company (UMP technologies) and have broader experience in customer-facing roles, social media advertising and team leadership, reflecting strong communication, time-management and problem-solving abilities.
