Prathiba Subramaniam

I carry 20yrs of cross cultural mental health experience in child & adult PTSD in complex sectors - child protection, correction services, sexual exploitation, refugees and asylum.

I have expereince and skills in providing supervision, case consults, training and practice advise in setting up cross cultural counselling and mental health service, in any of the sectors mentioned above.

I have provided clinicial training to counsellors, social workers, nurses and case workers in foundations of cross cultural skills, mental health first aid response by understanding cross cultural help seeling behaviours, foundations of family therapy skills in working with children or youth.

The recipients of my trainings include Transcultural Psychosocial Organisation in Nepal, Universtity of South Pacific, Fiji, and many organisations in Australia as reflected in my resume.

I recently finished a six month project for Ministry of Education, Special Schools Fiji - delivering a series of training to teachers, principals on understanding child dvt, understanding neurodiversity, engagement for teaching and learning.

I am interested in providing child/family mental health psychosocial support to the international community at this time.
