@philyoung
I lead global tooling programs from quote through offshore build, delivery, and buyoff.
What I'm looking for
At Omex Manufacturing, I manage supplier tooling programs from quote review through onboarding from China, developing suppliers and updating die and gage standards. I work hands-on across engineering, design, build, procurement, and remote teams spanning China, Germany, North America, and Mexico.
Across GS Die & Design, Bowman Precision Tool, NASG Canada, Millard Precision Machine and Tool, FTI, and Brattan Tool Industries, I've led tooling design, simulation, sourcing, scheduling, and supplier quality for progressive and transfer dies. I've delivered offshore dies on time, supported over $18 million in yearly sales through offshore tooling, and use NX, AutoForm, Dynmik, VR/MR reviews, and lean process standards to reduce risk and accelerate timing.
