Licensed tax attorney and IRS Enrolled Agent specializing in tax controversy and partnership taxation.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Licensed Missouri Attorney and IRS Enrolled Agent, focused on tax controversy, business law, and partnership taxation. I help high-net-worth individuals, multinational corporations, and the U.S. government navigate complex legal and tax matters with a strategy grounded in research and compliance.
In my current role as Lead Tax Controversy Attorney at Kugelman Law, P.C., I represent clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities through the full lifecycle of cases—from initial file review to the final closing letter. I lead substantive deliverables like IDR responses, Formal Written Protests for IRS Appeals, and Collection Due Process (CDP) Filings, while tracking deadlines and statutes of limitations and coordinating unified case strategy with the Managing Attorney and supporting specialists.
Previously, as an IRS Revenue Agent (Global High Wealth Group, LB&I Division), I provided quasi-legal guidance on partnership compliance, Hobby Loss rules, and related-party transactions, including issuing and resolving over a dozen high-value adjustments. Earlier, at KPMG’s Washington National Tax practice, I advised on complex partnership and S-corporation transactions, drafted legal/tax analyses, and mentored associates—building the consulting and controversy expertise I now apply to litigation risk, compliance, and client-centered guidance.
