What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a thoughtful, low-ego team solving meaningful, complex problems. I value roles where designers shape product direction, collaborate closely with engineers and stay involved through release. I work best in remote environments built on trust, clear communication, open feedback and genuine care for what ultimately ships.

I’m a product designer who has trouble stopping at the edge of the screen. When something feels confusing or incomplete, I want to understand the workflow around it, the technical system beneath it and the decisions that made it that way. That curiosity often takes me beyond interface design and into product direction, documentation, implementation and QA.

I’m happiest working on complicated products with thoughtful, low-ego teams. I enjoy shaping ideas while they are still unclear, exploring possibilities with product partners and engineers, and staying involved long enough to see whether the experience works outside the design file. I care about craft, but not as decoration; to me, craft is the attention given to every state, transition and small decision that helps a product feel considered.

I’m particularly interested in complex web applications, operational tools and products where simplifying the underlying system creates meaningful value for users. I also enjoy experimenting with code and AI-assisted tools when they provide a faster way to test an idea or make a conversation tangible.

Away from work, I’m usually solving something. I have completed four volumes of Sudoku, regularly disappear into the jigsaw puzzles on Google Arts & Culture, and recently became obsessed with LOK. I suspect the same part of my brain enjoys both puzzles and product design: finding the hidden structure and making the pieces fit.

Product Designer

Lena

Nov 2022 - Aug 2024 (1 year 9 months)

I cofounded Lena and lead product direction, design and delivery across learning products used by three universities and four K–12 schools. I guided a team of two designers and four engineers, led a long-stalled mobile app to launch within two months, and directed ground-up React rebuilds of the student and teacher products using Claude Code.

OI

Product Designer

Omits Inc.

Oct 2025 - Jun 2026 (8 months)

I owned product definition and design for a pre-launch remittance app and internal dashboard, translating compliance needs into priorities for four engineers. I redesigned KYC failure, recovery and manual-review workflows after studying beta data, reducing third-party verification spend by 60% in a subsequent test, and created the product knowledge base used across teams.

CI

Product Designer

Circula

Oct 2024 - Aug 2025 (10 months)

I led product design from concept through pilot for its recycling operations platform, established the visual direction and design system, and guided implementation with two engineers and the CTO. Twenty-six organizations onboarded and operators generated 100+ impact reports.

I joined Circula as a contract designer and moved full-time in January 2025.

SY

UX Designer

Sendbox (YC 21)

Aug 2024 - Jan 2025 (5 months)

As Sendbox’s sole designer, I unified web, mobile and operational experiences for a fulfilment platform serving 7,500 Nigerian merchants. I designed and coded its foundational design system with Figma tokens, Storybook and shadcn-based React components, and redesigned service-coverage workflows to prevent unsupported pickup requests.

BU

UX Designer

budgIT

Oct 2021 - Jul 2023 (1 year 9 months)

I owned the PHC Accountability Tracker and citizen-feedback portal through launch across five Nigerian states, translating manual reporting into product workflows and dashboards, directing three engineers, and leading QA and audits that reduced post-launch defects by about 90%.

I joined BudgIT as a freelance UX Designer II and moved full-time in May 2022.

TH

Product Designer — Design Systems

thenewboston

Nov 2020 - Apr 2022 (1 year 5 months)

I built and governed thenewboston’s first shared design system across desktop and mobile products. I standardized foundations, components and application shells, created usage and engineering documentation, audited contributor files and led adoption workshops. I also researched and redesigned the community app-store experience around developer and user needs.
