What I'm looking for

I’m looking to join a team where investigative storytelling and data quality matter—using SQL/Excel, ETL, dashboards, and strong validation to deliver accurate, dashboard-ready insights that editors and journalists can act on.

I’m an experienced Data Journalist/Analyst with over five years spent locating, collecting, filtering, and transforming data for investigative reporting—especially across sub-saharan Africa. I’m strong at ingesting and monitoring data from multiple streams, turning project needs into clear data workflows.

In my recent role, I organized data for investigations by mapping and ingesting information into the Aleph data platform, enforcing data cleaning and ETL standards, and training colleagues and journalists on data demands and practical usage. I’ve supervised data collection, verification, and validation processes, and supported real-time analysis and dashboards to help editorial teams understand economic and financial performance.

I also build reporting-ready datasets through source, mine, cleaning, and analysis, and communicate results through infographics, graphs, and other visualizations. Across fellowship and training work, I focus on accuracy, fairness, and clear storytelling from data.
