At WCB Nova Scotia, I investigated security incidents, reviewed reported emails, and analyzed malware as an Architecture and Cybersecurity Student. I also identified a DLP vulnerability that could lead to data leaks.
I used KQL with Microsoft Defender XDR for basic threat hunting and participated in monthly network scans. I created tags for new subnets, reviewed results with senior security officers, and fixed vulnerabilities.
At Microsoft AppFactory, I built two C# (.NET) applications with a cross-functional team to optimize aid distribution processes for refugees in Malawi. I also participated in agile development and documented daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
On a mentored network intrusion detection project, I analyzed traffic with Wireshark and Nmap and detected malicious activity using Snort. I used Python and NumPy for post-detection analysis and visualization, and worked on MiiraMatchmaking’s onboarding and navigation features.
