Nicole McDermid

@nicolemcdermid

Military master planner at AtkinsRéalis creating installation plans and technical recommendations for military clients.

At AtkinsRéalis, I research UFC standards and DoD criteria to address military installation planning needs. I support federal planning projects from charrettes through final deliverables, developing installation, district, and area development plans.

Through Cityzen Planning, LLC, I provided planning and design solutions for military installations, completing work on Installation Development Plan and Area Development Plan projects for Army, Air Force, and Navy installations. I also created project timelines and technical reports using military handbooks, regulations, and criteria.

I have taught planning and interior architecture courses at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, University of Colorado, and Ivy Tech Community College. In interior design, I completed more than 30 residential and small commercial projects through Nicole McDermid Interior Design Group, LLC.
