Nickolai Baginskiy

I’m a third-year undergraduate building a career at the intersection of applied analytics, econometrics, and financial research. As a Junior Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Digital Finance, I focus on cryptocurrency markets, risk premia, market factors, and how legal and regulatory pathways shape digital assets in Russia.

I conduct complex econometric research by analyzing market factors, risk premia, and large datasets for evidence-based conclusions. I also prepare calculations, analytical tables, research notes, and structured outputs that support project work on the legalization and regulation of cryptocurrencies in the Russian Federation.

Alongside research, I develop analytical and trading prototypes: from a Jupyter-based multi-factor trading strategy demo with data cleaning, feature engineering, machine learning logic, validation, and reporting, to a production-oriented trading bot design with signal logic, entry filters, risk controls, and scalable architecture. I’m open to test assignments, case interviews, and analytical tasks where I can apply strong quantitative fundamentals to real business problems.
