@muruvvetbozkurt
Data Scientist passionate about AI and machine learning innovations.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated Data Scientist with a strong background in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Currently, I am working at Siemens AG, where I automated IT processes through advanced text analysis and natural language processing, significantly reducing processing time and saving costs. My experience also includes developing a LangChain-based chatbot that enhances IT support efficiency.
Previously, I contributed to various projects, including creating an explainable object detection model for autonomous driving at Intel Labs and building predictive models for meal assignments at Hospichef. My academic journey at the Technical University of Munich and Istanbul Technical University has equipped me with a solid foundation in computer engineering and informatics, allowing me to tackle complex problems with innovative solutions.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Data Scientist
Siemens AG
Nov 2023 - Present (1 year 7 months)
Automated IT processes with text analysis, clustering, and NLP, cutting processing time by 83.3% and saving €30,000 annually. Developed a LangChain-based RAG chatbot deployed on OpenShift, using FAISS and internal knowledge sources to automate IT support.
Data Scientist
Hospichef
Nov 2023 - Apr 2024 (5 months)
Built a custom neural network and optimized various machine learning models for accurate meal predictions based on patient order history, enhancing assignment and satisfaction. Applied ARIMA/SARIMA and sequential models for future patient presence prediction, integrated with BigQuery.
AI Researcher
Intel Labs
Oct 2022 - Apr 2023 (6 months)
Created an explainable object detection model for autonomous driving safety using autoencoders and Bayesian causal models in PyTorch. Investigated advanced models like Faster R-CNN, YOLO, and Mask R-CNN.
Undergraduate Researcher
ITU Vision Lab
Sep 2020 - Apr 2022 (1 year 7 months)
Proposed a model to detect facial expressions in children with limited datasets, creating domain-invariant models by reducing shifts between child and adult facial features. This approach was inspired by GAN, WGAN, and gradient reversal techniques.
Software Engineering Intern
Arçelik Global
Jul 2021 - Sep 2021 (2 months)
Developed a React-based interface for the MOST Project to upload Excel files, read data, and send it to designated services. This project streamlined data handling processes.
Software Team Member
ITU Rover Team
Sep 2019 - Aug 2021 (1 year 11 months)
Developed DL models to classify NIR spectrometer images of rocks and minerals, and created autonomous traversal algorithms. Designed the Rover’s state machine using Python and ROS, implementing a custom motion planning library with lidar data for desert navigation.
Software Engineering Intern
ITU Logic Lab
Jun 2019 - Aug 2019 (2 months)
Simulated the motion of knees and elbows using textile-based sensors with Unity. This involved creating virtual environments to test sensor data.
