Madeline Salzman-McIntire

Teaching 100 and 200 level art history classes using an in-person and online hybrid model, and providing student support during term-time. Courses include Western Art History, Modern Art History, Japanese Art History, and Latin-American Art History.

Specializing in character creation using three-dimensional jointed maquettes. Work is multimedia and makes use of artist-made parts, textiles, sculpting, and restoration of preexisting parts.

Researching the provenance, dating, and condition of specific objects on behalf of clients for their private collection, advising in the storage and display of objects as requested, and liaising between collectors as needed.

Assisted in the unpacking, packing, and staging of artwork for exhibitions, wall patching and painting between shows, preparation and cleanup of gallery receptions, and set up, breakdown, and technical support for artist lectures.

Pursuing a postdoctoral credential in Advanced Instructional Design, expected to complete in Summer 2026.

Completed a Doctor of Philosophy in History of Art, with a thesis on angels in Anglo-Saxon art.

Earned a Master of Arts in Medieval Languages and Literature.

Earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Art History, including a Medieval Studies minor.

Participated in terms abroad during the summers of 2014 and 2015.

Earned an Associate of Arts with majors in English and Art History.
