Principal Economist and strategic finance specialist driving budget planning, policy analysis, and fiscal accountability.
What I'm looking for
I’m a results-driven Principal Economist and Strategic Finance Specialist with 11 years of experience (2014–2025) in budget planning, public finance management, and macroeconomic & policy analysis. I focus on resource allocation, forecasting, and evidence-based decision-making that improves accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
At the Teachers Service Commission, I’ve strengthened fiscal discipline through the 2025/2026–2027/2028 MTEF budget process by consolidating Kshs. 1.271 trillion, using coordinated data collection and costing validation. I also improved financial integrity by leading national and county asset verification (2023–2025), and I optimized resource allocation by managing FY 2024/2025 budget itemisation across cost centres in Oracle Hyperion.
Earlier, I advanced education planning by designing a CBC forecasting model and strengthening payroll integrity through the BEVoT Project (biometric enrolment and payroll data cleansing), reducing fraudulent payments. I supported SDG 4 implementation with KNATCOM by streamlining programmes with UNESCO priorities, and I strengthened accountability through the National Evaluation of Performance Contracting, including scoring guides and actionable feedback reports for county offices.
I’m also committed to institutional change: I’ve drafted policy instruments like the TSC Medium-Term Plan IV and the TSC ICT Policy, built monitoring and evaluation frameworks aligned to measurable outcomes, and contributed to strategic planning through the co-authored TSC Strategic Plan (2019–2023). With strong analytical skills and change-management capability, I’m ready to lead high-stakes economic and finance work that delivers sustainable growth.
