At Yellow Tail Tech, I operated persistent AWS infrastructure in a simulated-production environment with an on-call rotation. I rebuilt Prometheus and Grafana alerting around burn-rate targets and wrote runbooks peers used during incident exercises; average resolution time in those exercises fell from roughly 60 to 40 minutes.
I built reusable Terraform modules with GitHub Actions validation, reducing repeat environment provisioning from roughly 2–3 hours to under 20 minutes. I also ran AWS Backup and disaster-recovery exercises and troubleshot high-availability ALB and Auto Scaling environments.
In my Space SRE Lab project, I restored a missing Kubernetes metrics path by isolating a local Metrics Server scrape and certificate issue. I documented the diagnosis and recovery, then validated HPA scale-out and recovery during a controlled CPU-saturation exercise.
I also designed modular, multi-AZ AWS infrastructure with Terraform and built GitHub Actions workflows for plans and gated applies. Before moving into infrastructure work, I spent 10 years in HIPAA-regulated healthcare, where I developed a foundation in audit-ready documentation.
