Mitchell Mavhura

I am a social work honours graduate and experienced research assistant with hands-on work in SRHR, HIV programming, and youth advocacy. I have supported participant recruitment, qualitative interviews, data collection, and community mobilisation across urban communities.

My roles at organizations such as the Biomedical Research Training Institute, AFRICAID Zvandiri, SAYWHAT, the Department of Social Development, and YAIN Trust strengthened my skills in DHIS2, ODK, EHR and Zvamoda data systems, counselling (HIV pre/post-test and ART adherence), facilitation, and case management. I hold certifications including Transformative Feminist Leadership, Good Clinical Practice, and training on gender-based violence and mental health.

I seek roles where I can combine community-focused social work, operational research, and youth-centred advocacy to drive evidence-based programs and strengthen service linkages for adolescents and caregivers.
