Onanie Sibusiso Tandi

I am a newly qualified adult social worker with a strong commitment to supporting individuals facing disabilities, mental health challenges, and learning difficulties. My education includes a Diploma in Social Work from Women’s University in Africa, complemented by certifications in safeguarding vulnerable children and adults. I have a solid understanding of UK legislation and laws, which I apply in my practice to ensure compliance and promote the well-being of vulnerable populations.

In my current role at the Department of Social Development, I conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate group therapy sessions. My experience includes advocating for clients' rights, connecting them with community resources, and providing emotional support during crises. I am passionate about fostering inclusivity and independence through person-centered care approaches, and I strive to empower individuals by promoting their autonomy and self-determination.

Throughout my career, I have collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care, ensuring that the needs of clients are met effectively. I believe in the importance of building trust and rapport with service users, and I am dedicated to making a positive impact in their lives through compassionate support and advocacy.
