What I'm looking for

Seeking fully remote Java backend, integration and Oracle Fusion Middleware work, permanently from Zimbabwe. Interests: SOA/OSB, microservices, REST/SOAP, middleware migration and production support. Available 40 hours/week, including US evening/night overlap, from 12 October 2026. No relocation or office attendance.

Java backend and enterprise integration specialist with 15+ years of software development experience, including consulting assignments at WesBank, Vodacom South Africa, FNB and Discovery Insure. Based in Zimbabwe and seeking fully remote backend, integration and middleware roles.

My strengths include Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle SOA Suite 11g/12c, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), BPEL, microservices, Java/JEE, and REST and SOAP web services. My experience spans service design, orchestration, messaging using JMS/MQ and Oracle AQ, application security, middleware migration and production support.

At WesBank, I designed and implemented SOA services using Java web services and EJB components, supported the migration from Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g to 12c, and contributed to security and architectural decisions. At Vodacom SA, I developed BPEL composites and OSB services, integrated file, database and messaging systems, and led and mentored two developers.

Earlier assignments included Java/JEE development at FNB, web services and integrations for Discovery Insure, and payment-gateway and application-server work at Interfile.

After a break from professional coding while running an earthmoving business, I am returning to hands-on backend and integration work. Available for fully remote work from Zimbabwe, including international teams and US working-hour overlap.
