What I'm looking for

I’m looking to build reliable, production-ready data-enabled applications—automating transformations and reporting with strong testing, clear governance, and close collaboration with business users to improve stability and release confidence.

As an Application Developer in Content Enablement at Baillie Gifford, I built Python data pipelines with Pandas and unit tests for a newly adopted early-stage third-party generator of client-facing MS Office documents. I supported upstream modelling, transformation design, and documentation to address adoption challenges.

I implemented a Denodo data virtualisation and access layer for the Client Reporting domain, adding automated testing with xUnit.net and SpecFlow to increase release confidence. I also developed Python tooling to generate transformation code from the Denodo Data Catalog, and built a cross-platform dependency tracker integrating Oracle, Denodo, and third-party systems—using NetworkX to map data-flow dependencies and auto-generate C4 diagrams for better traceability and impact analysis.

Previously, I delivered C# WinForms UIs and enhanced .NET client-reporting apps (with C# mid-tier and AngularJS frontends), plus PL/SQL solutions for high-volume transformations in Oracle. Before that, I worked as a Technical Operations Analyst using ITIL practices for incident/problem/change governance, and as a Data Engineer maintaining Pentaho Data Integration ETL pipelines and Oracle data migrations—always emphasizing strong engineering standards, collaboration with business users, and release stability.
