What I'm looking for

I’m looking to advance my career in social work in a position that guides and empowers veterans and their families to achieve their best potential.

At Texas Health and Human Services Commission, I answer calls to the Texas abuse hotline about alleged abuse or neglect of children and vulnerable adults. I gather information, assess reports against Texas Family Code definitions, and determine whether to make an intake or refer callers to other resources.

I document call narratives and route reports to the appropriate field staff for investigation. My work also includes building rapport with professional and non-professional reporters during difficult conversations.

At Hays Cisd, I completed a student support counselor internship at Lehman High School, providing individual counseling and organizing group therapy sessions. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Texas State University.
