Michelle Daka

I’m an accounting graduate building toward my SAICA pathway and my goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant, while also working toward a Masters in Financial Engineering. My academic background includes financial accounting, taxation, auditing, management accounting, and finance, and I bring an open-minded, practical approach to solving problems in a team setting.

In my SAIPA Trainee Accountant role, I prepared financial statements using Caseware and Draftworx and supported compliance with international accounting standards. I also assisted with audit procedures such as stock counts, and contributed to VAT and payroll submissions, while learning how strong internal control supports reliable reporting.

I’m equally committed to modern accounting tools and continued professional development, with certifications in Xero (in progress), QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and SAGE. Alongside my work, I’ve led and organized in academic and extracurricular settings, and I’m motivated to contribute to assurance, taxation, and financial reporting efforts for an innovative organization.
