At Ipswich Animal Hospital, I worked as a Veterinary Technician, assisting during appointments by restraining patients and running tests while the doctor met with clients. I also collaborated with the doctor during X-rays, surgeries, dentals, and appointments.
I supported patient and client care during euthanasia and end-of-life visits, and performed blood draws and filled prescriptions. I also labeled medications and helped order labs through IDEXX.
At Animal First Veterinary Care with Dr. Katia Chaves, I worked as a Veterinary Assistant on house calls. I cleaned exam tools, tracked animal weights, performed basic patient holds, and filled prescriptions.
I'm studying Animal Science in the Pre-Vet Program at the University of Connecticut. My training includes biotechnology certification, BSL1 training, aseptic technique, safety hazard assessment, and bench documentation and SOPs.
