At OptiMine, I research classical–quantum optimization for open-pit mining, working with binary optimization models, economic block values, and precedence constraints. I implemented a parameterized QUBO matrix construction tool and compared its solutions against Gurobi.
I first-authored a research paper investigating VQE for a four-block open-pit optimization proof of concept. I also developed and investigated an experimental problem decomposition approach for two-qubit quantum hardware constraints.
On the Flotation Analysis Platform, I co-developed a modular computer vision platform from scratch for bubble analysis in mineral flotation research. I implemented bubble detection and segmentation workflows and conducted comparative image-processing experiments.
I evaluated denoising techniques and analyzed CSV-based results using Power BI, then used R² to assess regression models against experimental flotation data. I’m an undergraduate in computer science and engineering, with research experience in scientific software development and applied computing.
