Megan Hudgens

I’m a Registered Nurse with experience across home health, skilled nursing, psychiatric nursing, public health, and primary & urgent care. I focus on patient safety through accurate, thorough documentation and effective communication with both patients and healthcare providers.

I’ve also taken on leadership responsibilities, including serving as Nursing Supervisor at Saint Thomas Behavioral Hospital, where I provided clinical oversight and staff leadership in a high-acuity behavioral health setting. I was selected as an RN member of the Lean Committee, collaborating with lead physicians to review and improve office policies to align with best practices.

I partnered with the State Department of Health to assist in the development of a new eMAR (Electronic Medication Administration Record) system for statewide use. My approach is grounded in my relevant coursework—Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Nursing ethics, and Patient Care Management—and a consistent commitment to delivering clear, comprehensive patient education.
