What I'm looking for

I want a role where I can lead triage and acute assessments, cover ED/urgent needs, and collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. I’m motivated by high-accountability shifts, patient safety, and continuous, hands-on nursing impact.

I’m a Registered Nurse focused on acute care, rapid assessment, and triage-driven decision making. I bring a steady clinical mindset to high-acuity settings where clear prioritization and safe execution matter most.

Since May 2024, I’ve worked as an Acute Care Locum Registered Nurse with Alberta Health Services, and I’ve also supported Acute/ER coverage at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre (North Zone Alberta) as the sole nurse. In these roles, I manage medical-surgical patients, provide night ER coverage, complete charge nurse responsibilities, and perform rapid assessments and triage prioritization.

My experience includes close assessment and follow-through on physician orders at High Prairie Health Complex, as well as floating to the ER during high patient volume. I’ve also provided urgent treatment and medical-surgical care through travel assignments, including phone triage and directing patients to emergency or walk-in clinic based on severity.

Before my current acute/ER focus, I built strong breadth across pediatrics and complex care, including Continuing Complex Care (Step Down) at Holland Bloorview Kids Hospital, where I also served as Team Leader for unit outcomes and patient/staff satisfaction. I’m BLS/ACLS/CTAS certified and committed to comprehensive nursing documentation, effective teamwork, and interventions that respond immediately to patient changes.
